Some of the best websites for finding a job

In order to help you on your journey of starting a new life by moving to Portugal, I've put together a list of some of the best places on the web to find work:

2. Iefp jobs

The portal of the Public Employment Service is now called Empregos Iefp . It was launched in 2006 and here you will find the same functions as those available in job centers. You can register and post your CV, as well as consult the job vacancies available in Portugal and abroad.

See the IEFP's help page for candidates.

(You can save the Iefponline CV on your computer and send it to employers or, if you respond to a job offer, the CV will automatically be sent to the employer).

You can also receive a newsletter with the main daily highlights. The NETempregos database contains job offers from the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training(IEFP).

3. Sapo Employment

Sapo Emprego has thousands of job offers in Portugal and other countries around the world, such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Angola, Belgium and Ireland. To "find the right job", you need to enter the keywords or ID of the ad, indicate the professional category and the country where you are looking for a position. This job search site has offers for practically all professions.

4. Employment Express

It's a very comprehensive site. Expresso Emprego also has thousands of job offers. To do your search and find the job you're looking for, you must indicate the position, the location, in Portugal or abroad (46 possible countries), type of contract, functions and sectors, among other criteria.

5. Job Alert

With Alerta Emprego you can save your searches, so you don't have to repeat them. You can also bookmark your favorite jobs and access them later on any device. Based on your profile and usage history, job placement offers are also suggested. Here, you can also find job opportunities in Portugal (by district) and abroad.

6. LinkedIn

Connecting professionals from all over the world. This is LinkedIn's mission. On this platform you can establish contacts and share knowledge, ideas and projects. The fact that it is professional in nature makes it the perfect way to find the best jobs. To gain visibility on the world's largest professional network, all you need to do is create a professional profile - preferably with a photo - that stands out from other users and attracts the interest of recruiters. LinkedIn is the social network most used by companies to recruit. It is therefore the ideal "shop window" for "selling" your professional image.

7. Indeed.co.uk

Indeed.pt This is another place on the Internet where you can find the best jobs. To search, you need to indicate the position and location that interest you most. You can also register your CV and receive new offers by e-mail or be contacted by companies by registering on the site.

8. Emprego XL - Online Job Portal

It defines itself as "a Recruitment and Training portal in Portugal", fostering links between professionals and recruiters. You can also receive job offers in your e-mail from Emprego XL.

9. Public Employment Exchange (BEP)

It is a state-run online portal, managed by the Directorate-General for the Qualification of Workers in Public Functions (INA), which promotes job vacancies in the Public Administration.

10. EURES, the European Job Mobility Portal

If your focus is abroad, you should bear in mind that there are specialized portals for looking for placements outside Portugal. EURES is one of them. With 1.4 million job offers, this portal offers information, advice and support services for placement / recruitment, promoting contact between jobseekers and employers throughout Europe. In Portugal, the EURES network is part of the IEFP.

11. Careersinternational.eu

On this site you will also find job and internship opportunities with the European Union, the Council of Europe, the OECD, the UN, NATO and the External Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

12. Jobrapido.com

Jobrapido.com works as a job vacancy aggregator. It allows you to search for vacancies on "every website in the world". This service, based in Milan (Italy), explains that its job ads are automatically taken from othersites or their advertisers. You can search for jobs in 58 countries.
